At Career Returners, our work is grounded in 12 years of experience, data-driven insight and ongoing feedback from our 10,000-strong Career Returners Professional Community. 

To illuminate the barriers, opportunities and impact of returner hiring, we draw on research data from:

• our own annual Career Returners Indicator 
• research studies with partners such as the Recruitment and Employment Confederation
• data collected by our employer partners on their returner programmes
• academic reports
• external labour market statistics and research

This evidence base also helps employers, public and professional bodies, and government to make informed decisions on returner support, recruitment and retention.
