Legal & General (L&G) is delighted to partner with Career Returners for a second year. The programme offers supported hiring into permanent and fixed term roles within Retirement Institutional, Retail, Asset Management. L&G welcomes candidates with a career break of 18 months or more to apply to the programme.

About the Programme

L&G is offering opportunities for career returners, starting in September. Alongside the Career Returners Coaching Programme from Career Returners, you will be allocated with a buddy for your day-to-day questions.  As part of the returner programme, you will also benefit from being part of an internal returner cohort.

Retirement Institutional

Legal & General looks after around 700,000 institutional customers who have their retirement benefits secured with us. Operating continuously in the UK market from our entrance in 1987, we are the UK’s longest-running insurer.

Our Institutional Retirement division provides pension risk transfer (PRT) solutions for UK and US defined benefit (DB) schemes, and reinsurance solutions from our global hub in Bermuda. We work with companies, DB pension schemes and their advisors to help them secure and protect scheme members’ retirement benefits.

Finance Business Partner Role (London)

They are recruiting for an Actuarial Finance Business Partner to join their Retirement Division. They’re offering the opportunity to support L&Gs Retirement Division to optimise its financial performance and ensure that the financial implications of tactical and strategic decisions are fully assessed and understood under a variety of scenarios.

Digital Product Analyst (Hove)

Group Function’s Digital Governance team is looking to hire a Digital Product Analyst to support in the management of the governance framework calendar, working closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and source relevant information to ensure the framework is appropriate.

This role would see you reporting on outcomes, creating reporting and MI packs for senior stakeholders and working closely with the Head of Digital Application Governance to develop an understanding and support in the ownership of financial management processes, investigating and resolving associated risks.

Risk and Controls Assurance Analyst (Cardiff)

They’re recruiting for a  Risk and Controls Assurance Analyst to join them in their Cardiff office. This role can be offered on a full time, part time and/or compressed hours contract and the team are generally in the office 2 or 3 days a month. In this role you will provide proactive risk management advice to various teams working on Retail Annuities.

They are looking for a risk professional or someone with a background in risk-based change. Ideally you will have some financial services experience and understand aspects of operational, enterprise, conduct and/or financial risks.

Life Underwriter (Remote or hybrid)

They’re recruiting for a Life Medical Underwriterto join the team. You will review customer applications to identify risk factors to assess whether they can offer Life, Critical Illness Cover and Income Protection applications. You can agree to offer the customer a policy, decide on what terms to offer or ask for more information from either the customer or their doctor.

Customer Care Advisor: Sensitive Claims and Bereavements (Cardiff)

They’re recruiting for Customer Care Advisors to join their Sensitive Claims and Bereavements team. Their teams are made up of professionals from different backgrounds including care and nursing. If you’re a caring and empathetic person, who loves nothing more than to support people during their time of need then they’d love to hear from you.  You will be speaking to customers or their loved ones in the instance a claim needs to be made, due to serious illness or bereavement.

Senior Claims Assessor (Remote)

If you’d thrive in a role that empowers you to make critical decisions regarding your clients then look no further! If you’re looking for a remote based role and you’re a Claims Assessor in critical illness or terminal illness claims, then they’d love to hear from you. The purpose of the role is to provide excellent customer service and claims handling. This will be through working proactively with Claims Assessors, claimants, medical professionals and 3rd parties, to obtain requirements to support claims assessment, meaning end-to-end time is minimised and customer satisfaction maintained.

Specialist Business Analyst (Hove)

They’re recruiting for a Business Analysis Specialist to join the team. This role will be an exciting extension of an existing Business Analysis team. This technical tier of Business Analysis translates business requirements into technical artefacts, which you will align to their company strategy and tailor to a technical audience.  You’ll be working closely with developers, architects and technical specialists.

Senior Reconciliation Specialist (Hove, 12 Month FTC)

They’re recruiting for a  Reconciliation Specialist to join their Retail functions. The role holder is responsible for the daily oversight of the reconciliation process for customer assets, including cash and investments held by Workplace Pension customers, to ensure these assets are safeguarded in accordance with regulations.

Finance Business Partner (London)

They’re offering you the opportunity to support the Retail Annuities Finance team in driving the profitability of the Retail Annuities business across the full range of financial metrics, all aspects of financial planning, financial management, financial control and supporting the business in making commercial decisions.

Onboarding Exec (Hove, 12-month FTC)

L&G is recruiting for an  Onboarding Executive to join their expanding team in Hove as a 12 month FTC. This role is to support and take control of onboarding duties for their client base, covering segregated and pooled investment clients.

Client Reporting Analyst (Hove, 12-month FTC)

You will be responsible for delivering client and fund reporting services across their UK and international client base in a range of different investment products. 

Fund Controller- Infrastructure and Private Credit (London)

The role is designed to act as the principal financial expert for a portfolio of private market funds.

The incumbent will deliver superior financial insight and business acumen, aligned with the four central pillars of fund financial management: financial control, strategic financial guidance to the LGIM RA front office, management of financial risks, and engagement with clients on financial issues pertinent to the funds.
