CNA Hardy is partnering with Career Returners to offer a supported hiring role in their Technology Underwriting team. They are looking for an Assistant Underwriter and welcome returner candidates to apply for this role.

A successful returner candidate, who has had a career break of 18 months or more, will receive coaching support through the transition period from Career Returners. Your career break may have been for childcare, eldercare, relocation or other reasons. You may have been working on a small-scale basis to fit around other commitments or not done any paid work for a number of years.

Position Summary

Support the execution of the business plan by supporting underwriting teams, focusing on developing underwriting skills and technical knowledge whilst helping to manage existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities.

Assistant Underwriter Duties

  • Contribute to business plan achievement by handling renewals within underwriting authority
  • Establish and build upon relationships with key partners (brokers & clients)
  • Promote the development of the business by identifying new business and cross sell opportunities
  • May perform additional duties as assigned
