Schroders is looking for an Investment Director (known as Solutions Manager internally) to join their Advanced Bond Beta (ABB) team within Schroders Solutions and welcome returner candidates to apply for this role.

A successful returner candidate, who has had a career break of 18 months or more, will receive coaching support through the transition period from Career Returners (previously Women Returners). Your career break may have been for childcare, eldercare, relocation or other reasons. You may have been working on a small-scale basis to fit around other commitments or not done any paid work for a number of years.

Who they are looking for

The Advanced Bond Beta (ABB) team within Schroders Solutions run pooled and custom fixed income solutions for a variety of institutional clients, ranging from government bond baskets to complex credit portfolios run on a buy & maintain basis.

Schroders is looking for an Investment Director (Solutions Manager) with the experience and desire to shape and push forward their buy & maintain credit business, ideally (but not necessarily) with a focus on insurance clients.

They want someone who is curious and questioning by nature. The candidate should have the ability to help them improve their products, process and materials, so they can give each client, especially their insurance matching adjustment focused clients, even better outcomes.

You’ll be busy working with the portfolio managers and fellow solutions managers to develop the way that they engage with their clients. You will be heavily involved with tuning in to the insurance industry and other institutional clients and their needs. Helping the team deliver the best portfolios for them and helping the client understand what they are doing and why, while sharing ideas and insights across the team.
