Current Opportunities

Contract Wordings Specialist

As a Contracts Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing contract drafting and technical expertise to the broking teams in London and local offices across EMEA and APAC regions. Your work will have a direct impact on clients and the success of the business.

  • Develop and produce reinsurance contracts covering a range of reinsurance lines, including Property and Casualty business and Life Reinsurance.
  • Provide technical analysis of contract wording, suggesting improvements, coverage enhancements, and compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
  • Support and resolve contract-related queries from Clients, Underwriters, and internal customers.
  • Stay up to date with the latest market developments and clauses, ensuring that the latest guidance is communicated to all relevant parties.
  • Support and drive process improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure all contracts align with the Contract Certainty Code of Practice and adhere to the London Market Reform guidelines.

Strategy Manager

This role will be crucial in drafting, communicating, and coordinating the division’s strategic plan to drive growth and revenue, with the goal of becoming a $1 billion business by 2027. If you have great analytical and project management skills from a financial services background, this role in London could be perfect for you.

  • Collaborating with business leaders and key stakeholders to summarise and draft the division’s business strategy and implementation plan
  • Creating, evaluating, and monitoring key performance indicators and financial metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and identify areas for improvement
  • Delivering quarterly progress reports and working with business leaders to implement key planning tools
  • Supporting exciting initiatives such as geographic expansion plans with effective project management skills
  • Performing market analysis, benchmarking, and industry trend analysis to identify opportunities and challenges in the insurance brokerage market
  • Providing data-driven insights and analysis to senior management, helping to inform decision-making and drive business results
  • Coordinating budget data and key financial metrics with support from the Operation and Finance Team
  • Collaborating closely with key partners across the business to understand their growth strategies
  • Coordinating the creation of board packs and presentations, as well as supporting and reporting on M&A activity
  • Sharing and monitoring the strategic plan with business leaders and updating the Gallagher Specialty Executive Committee on its progress
  • Developing knowledge of regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and industry best practices

Compliance Business Partner, EMEA

This role will give you the opportunity to ensure professional, strategic and operational compliance risk management is in place, all whilst working close and building great relationships with local stakeholders.

  • You will collaborate the business by making sure systems and controls are compliant to meet regulatory objectives and deliver policy and advisory support.
  • Lead compliance projects, monitor changes in regulations and perform impact analyses and embed professional standards.
  • Act as a ‘trusted advisor’ to the business, working together to find compliant commercial solutions
  • Balance business opportunities and other commercial considerations with compliance risks to maximise corporate performance and minimise financial, regulatory or reputational loss
  • Provide compliance oversight and reporting to the senior management.
  • Assist with the delivery of planned and ad hoc strategic compliance projects such as M&A integration projects
  • Carry out research and provide expert policy advice on a range of regulatory issues with a special focus on conduct risk.
  • Maintain a highly visible and supportive role as a strong influencer and help internal stakeholders to understand conduct risk outcomes to anticipate, understand, prepare for and implement regulatory and policy change across EMEA.

Catastrophe Modelling Analyst

The Catastrophe Modelling Analyst will join the International Catastrophe Analytics team with a focus on property & casualty lines of business. The team assists clients in analysing the risk to their business from all aspects of natural perils and catastrophes.

  • Contribute to renewal modelling projects on domestic and global accounts
  • Engage on developing and deploying service offering to clients alongside our research teams and external academic partners.
  • Real-time reporting and analysis of natural disasters and supporting clients post-event.
  • Year-round client engagement on topics such as model interpretation, portfolio management and bespoke analytical projects in collaboration with the local brokers in London.
  • Contribute to broader projects including climate related projects as Gallagher Re supports clients with the evolving regulatory landscape on climate change in the UK.

Actuarial Analyst

In this role, you will apply your expertise in financial services pricing techniques to provide outstanding client service and contribute to the growth of the team. The ideal individual will be someone with interpersonal, analytical and numeracy skills.

  • Risk analysis and modelling of clients’ portfolios
  • Valuation and pricing of reinsurance contracts, structured insurance solutions and capital market products.
  • Delivering presentations and advice to insurance groups
  • Involvement in renewals, tenders and ad-hoc projects.
  • Supporting development of product innovation, both to expand existing relationships and to facilitate entry into new ones.
