BT is partnering with Career Returners (previously Women Returners) to offer supported hiring in their Networks team. They are looking for a Service Management Professional- Defect Management and welcome returner candidates to apply for this role.

A successful returner candidate, who has had a career break of 18 months or more, will receive coaching support through the transition period from Career Returners. Your career break may have been for childcare, eldercare, relocation or other reasons. You may have been working on a small-scale basis to fit around other commitments or not done any paid work for a number of years.

You will be joining the Service Management Team and as a Service Reliability Professional, you will operate the underlying processes of Incident, Defect, Change/Configuration, Asset and Release Management within the Mobile Innovations Lab Testing Environments. In addition to running the processes you will work with the process lead and owner, and Service Reliability Specialist, to code and digitise improvements to how we do things.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience of working in an environment where ITIL is widely practiced in a network based service – preferably on a mobile network
  • An ITIL Foundation with good experience of working on a busy and fast paced telco organisation – either test or live environments.
  • Mobile or IT network experience, gained from within an operational role.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
  • Confident interacting with internal and external customers and suppliers at all levels
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You will be an excellent team player, comfortable collaborating with both local and remote team members.
  • Be customer focussed – setting high standards and driving good practice across the team.
  • Passion to learn and excel in your career.

This is a role that has a good career path to develop in mobile engineering as the industry goes through architectural evolution.
